    Well its day 3 and I am on a ravaging killing spree that I thought I could never be on. Its strange because I know for a fact that 15 people died and about 40-50ish were injured. Ive killed well over 50-60. I guess not everything about the gameplay is realistic. The bodies with blood all over them now that's a real treat. I like to see what my bodies look like after blood and gush.

    After we both kill each other (As that actually does happen), apparently a new level in the game allows you to go to hell and shoot demons. I didnt make it very far so I just left it at that, my 30 minutes were over.

    So whats the ethical framework now? Now our actual killers are in hell killing demons? Did I miss something? I thought this was a POV lesson learned type deal in realistic perspective. Now we are to believe that hell exists and right now both kids are shooting demons still enjoying what they do even in the afterlife? I cant think of what i'm trying to learn now. Oh well.

    Well its day 2 and I am at the part that I'm sure everybody was looking forward to, that is the shooting. I get to my first victim after we realize that the car bombs were not going off, oh hey you go free... I guess? Alright next person, now weve engaged.. A jock. Alright time to shoot and kill. I did that.

    That was basically the entire phase 2 of this game, find the people that were panicing and shoot them. They were all panicing. Janitors, Openly Gay Guy, Black Kid, Church Kid, Even Prom Queen took a 1 shot shotgun to the face and died instantly.

    I started to wonder about the Ethical Framework posted in this game. What ethical framework? I don't ever recall this people my enemies. But wait then again in other games where if we engage the 'enemy' they will attack, whether its first or second. These people are attacking me first or second. Should I shoot back? Is this what I was taught, that even in real life simulators, the rules of other games apply to this one. Shoot to kill because they are our enemies. But they were our enemies because we were shooting at them and they were resisting. I don't think that happened so much in the real Columbine Masscare, the 2 students didn't look at the student, shot them, then the other person fought back. Oh well, about 50-60 kills later I was done for the day.

    Well this is the 2nd time that I've played Super Columbine Massacre RPG. The 1st time I played it is when I was interested in the events of Columbine about 3-4 months ago. This time I'm playing it with a background and bias towards the types of ethics that I am presented with.

    I only spent my 30 minutes doing everything and all additional bonuses that lead up to planting the bombs behind the cafeteria. After reading the dialogue and using it to set up the heroes of the game, I notice that this game has no intention of teaching the player a lesson. This game was clearly for the point of view of the two shooters, Eric and Dylan. Everything is presented in a progressive manner with real times (and estimated actions based on the families and notes that were written and left for evidence.) They attempt to make it a bit more point of view realistically by adding stuff that was actually erased (thus catching 22 of deleting stuff that only they know yet was presented in the game as if it was found).

    They swore alot. I dont think anything as far as playing a 'hero' was presented. This was clearly a game where the player lets out his anger on other objects. They do a good job of dressing it up for people that havent heard of Columbine, but for the rest of the people that do know it, its all about reliving the experience and going in 1 direction. No interactive dialogue is presented, just go with what they actually said. Load up weapons, take car, go to school, present yourself with the objective of killing people. Theres no positive, Kant, or Utilitarism ethics presented here. Its all negative and violence from here.

    Sep 28th, 2011 at 01:14:22     -    Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2)

    Well its Day 3. Lets see if my mind is in the right place and get some work done. So I use the same game file as I did in day 2 and notice that there was some stuff I can do.

    The first thing that I did was get into an empty car and drive. I controlled myself so that I could do stuff legitimately but with all the people hovering around me thinking I will do something wrong, it made me even more nervous.

    I just drove around and see what kinds of stuff caught my attention. I stop by the fast food place and order food for $5. The way the cashiers acted they sounded like they didnt want to work there.

    On my way out I accidently hit I believe R2, which targetted someone. They looked at me and I hit another button. I rotated my fists with a knife and then thats when things got complicated. More people came up, started talking smack, then they put their hands in the air. I just said "Screw it" and stabbed them. The police came, I got in, chased around the cops until I got arrested. Same thing over and over again.

    I guess I can take this game a bit more serious then I thought at first. If I had done nothing wrong, I could do stuff normally. Games usually dont offer this much "Friendly Fire", but when you have a knife out, of course people will get scared and run away. Usually if the weapon is out who cares, only until it gets shot then people panic. I suppose the whole "Life lessons and ethics that you see in a game" really applies ironically. Thats what that looks like in the form of a game. Run around with weapons and cops will come out and shoot you.
