Last night, I worked on finding hidden packages. I tried to do this without getting any stars, becuase it is always annoying getting arrested and you have no clue that you even had a star.
While I was running around I realized that the way conversation occurs between NPC's and the player are rather staged. If you bump someone while running on the street they will say something to you like: "Loser, watch out!" or "That was like totally rude." Different types of people will say different things as well. There are some homeless looking people who when you go near them they will say "Hey you, five bucks?" the girls on Ocean Avenue will say "like" a lot. Police will say things like "Show me some ID" or "I am an officer of the law, stop!." The sound seems to eminate from these people, but their lips don't move and they do not give any other impression of speaking.
Overall, conversation is a weakness of this game, but then again that is not really what the game is all about anyways.

The last post was meant to be from last night.
Today I experimented more with the reaction of people to the actions I make in the game. I was walking down the street after recieving the chainsaw, and I pulled it out on a busy street. As soon as it came out, people near me started to run away. Some people ran as far as they could, while others were confused and ran in circles and into things. Across the street people stood and watched.
These reactions were very interesting to me, becasue it exemplified suprisingly realisticaly the reactions people have to danger.
When I attacked a person on the street other people came to fight me, even though I had a sword (which I found for the first time in the store in the mall that you have to blow up later in the game).

I forgot how fun this game was. I haven't played it in so long. I started a new game and worked on the missions. However, I got distracted after I failed a mission with the Colonel, and I started to try to get my star rating up to see how long I could survive. I found out that you cannot get above 4 stars this early in the game though. So I just found some other random mayhem to cause.
