Nov 5th, 2008 at 16:08:19     -    Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC)

This the third and maybe the last time I will play this game is like all the other times I've played it. The senseless slaughter and carnage of the innocent people of that high school. To say that playing this game was fun would not be right because it wasn't. Even after watching the documentary about the video game its creator and the significance of it kind of made me not want to even play this game a third time.
It could be a teaching tool for morality in all its worth. It could also be used to help people understand what had been done one that day to all those involved and even to explain the nature of the main characters obsessions, fears, and angers about the society that they lived in.
All I can say to rap this last game log up is that this game should have never had been made or in need to exist only for the fact that the incident should have been prevented like all the other shootings that have occurred in all the times that I have seen them. People blame video games, music, and all the other medias for creating these so called monsters but in the end they are just a scapegoat for the people involved that should have noticed the odd behavior behind the actions.
To also say that this game is immoral is another big issue that should be addressed. The only way this game would be immoral is if its creator had ill intentions in making it. So far from what I have read the game was created to cope with the situation that happened and the reasons behind the way that it happened to open peoples eyes and to say that we should be watchful of those around us friends, family, and anyone else that we come across. Help them cope with there own situations and keep them from doing the things that you might not think that would help them.

The second go around for this game was a trivial one. The violence in the game compared to the actual events of that day were at best kind of lacks. Although the game was made in a program that showed violent acts as very minor what happened on that day was not. So I played in a way that was different then what I should have and on many occations let the main characters of this fateful story die. Not only to see the people they were attacking getting a revenge of sorts on them but because I thought it would be a fun activity to do and it was.
Like I said in my previous entry I said this game should have been an action game or a shooter game. To not let any of the teens or teachers that fought against you fight back would have been a good depiction of what really happened. But putting it in RPG time based attack format was definately still a good way to do it so i could play in a way to let the victims instead of the murderers win.
On many occations though I did find myself having to take out the opponents instead of letting them kill me because of the fact that not many of the victims could fight in a manor that would cause any real damage to the main characters of the story. Also getting through some parts of the game made it unbearable to play because of the overall hard nature of it. So getting to the parts I wanted to play like the battles were a long and difficult journey. All in all I'd have to say that this game and the violence dipicted in it was not very accurate in the sense of the carnage and bloodshed that actually happened on that day but it did give you a sense of how easy it was for them to pick of their vicims without much opposition.

Nov 4th, 2008 at 00:07:54     -    Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC)

This game is a disturbing look into the last hours of the two mass murderers of the Columbine incident that happened almost a decade ago. It is made in the old school RPG style of games and I kinda think it would have been better as a action or shooter game. But the game is still as interesting in the RPG style that they put it in.
I really don't know if the dialog is as completely accurate as it was back then because i don't really remember the incident all that much but from the interaction of the two characters it was one of the most disturbing and enlightening conversations I've ever read. Not only for the fact that they talked about it. It was the way they talked about it, like it was nothing at all different from anything normal.
There were also the items in the house like the Doom game and Marilyn Manson CD which i kinda figured would be tools for what they were doing but didn't expect them to be items that you could equipped. Which adds to the whole creepiness of the fact that people blame the music and video game industries for the desentesation of the youth of America. In the Game the even say themselves that the media would do it too.
All in all this is the first time i got to play the game and i really couldn't stand much of it hopefully I can to finish what I need to.

    Oct 6th, 2008 at 10:00:48     -    Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2)

The last time I played throught the game I saw that family seemed to be the one main values of the game. Not only for the fact that the main character came back to town for his mother but for the fact that he is sucked back into the brotherhood of the community as well.
From a Kantian stand point the main character has a moral duty to protect his family no matter what. Wheither its killing other gangsters, drug dealers, or anyone that gets in his way the main character believes he is doing the right thing.... his moral duty to keep his family and his brothers in arms safe from others who wish to do them harm.
The funny part is that it is still a wrong action because he is causing harm to others and putting himself in harms way. Even though he believes he is doing the right thing by doing so.
The main character so far from what I played never was conflicted in that fact either although it was mostly the beginning of the game I had played. But I'm pretty sure that maybe toward the middle or the end of the game the main character would start having a conflict of intrest in what his moral duty actually is and how to go about it in a different sort of way
