Mraza1101's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1596FarCry 3 (PC) - Mon, 10 Dec 2012 20:51:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5466GameLog 14: This week has been an exciting week for me I got a new game, Far Cry 3. It is an amazing First Person Shooter which adds a lot of neat features such as that makes the game very immersive and compelling to play. I had a thrill learning this game and learning the background story of what happens. It starts off with you with your friends going to an island to have a time of your life. There happy, joyful, and youthful with a bright future ahead of them. Just as when you think things will get better a big twist comes along. It turns out that the Island is plagued with unknown enemies which are there for the soul purpose of doing evil to anyone they encounter. The group of friends are found in a bad situation with no power to get away from these evil people. The evil gang rounds them up and places them in there torture camps. They evil gang tries their best to destroy their sanity and willpower, making them be docile and surrendering. You see right away that the evil gang main boss Vaas Montenegro come to the torture camps to tease and torment them. He is ruthless and says many bad comments to them destroying there hope for help. The way Vaas Montenegro speaks is very adult content with many bad words that degrade the prisoners of the camp. Luckly Grant Brody is able to break loose from the knot tied to his arms and free you also. You sneak around the camp trying to not get detected. It was really hard for me since I wasn’t use to the layout scheme but we managed to breakout. Right as you are breaking out Vaas Montenegro stops you guys and shot Grant, you are helpless and unable to help him. The only choice you have left is to run, run as fast as you can dodging the gun fire into the deep forest of Far Cry 3. This is one of the best games I have played this year. Shortly after words of escaping you meet a man named Dennis Rogers who welcomes you to his camp and gives you details about the islands in Far cry 3 and warns you about the hostile places. He also get you a weapon to be set ready for the worst case scenario. This is as far as I have played so far and I am very excited to progress further in this game. My friend and I have recently recruited people from George Mason University to play with us and Guild Wars 2. It was tough getting new players to play Guild Wars 2 since it has a steep learning curve but it paid off. We were able to get a total of 10 people into playing Guild Wars 2. It was exciting to be able to recruit that many people to be able to play in our guild in Guild Wars 2. We assigned everyone certain roles but left them free to be able to choose what classes and race they wanted to play. We had a pretty diverse group with many different classes. The class that was most used was thief, we had a total of three thief players which were 2 humans and 1 was Norn. The thief class is really important when you want mobility and firepower packed into one class. We had a total of 2 warriors join in our group which were really helpful, our first warrior was Char and the second warrior we have is Human. Since the warrior class wears heavy armor, which makes them be able to tank for our team. Tanking is pretty much best described as a warrior who takes all the hits damage making him a bullet sponge for the team. We had a pretty radical engineer in our team, our engineer was from Asura. His features were unique and distinct he had an Afro with the biggest flame thrower gun I had ever seen. He was pretty much the pyro in our team, each attack he had was fire based and could blaze anyone alive. I was the only Ranger on the team that provided team support from long range. I had a pretty important role in our team, I was designated to spot all enemies, warn our teams about flanks and counter attacks, cast support spells such as summoning forest spirit that gives everyone buffs, and last but not least heal and revive those who die or get paralyzed on the floor. On a later GameLog I will go into greater detail explaining the battle tactics we used and what quest we adventured on as a team. Overall I am really excited in having this whole team come into play. Thu, 29 Nov 2012 10:45:17 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5386&iddiary=9682Halo 4 (360) - Tue, 27 Nov 2012 17:57:34https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5383This was an awesome Thanks Giving Break I had gotten a lot of time to play many games and spend a lot of good time with my love ones and friends. I started playing my copy of Halo 4 this week which was very interesting. To give you a background story of what the Halo universe is about is very interesting and intricate. Halo starts off with a special advance Spartan program that takes children from a young age and places them in a elite program to make them the best killing soldiers out there that are unmatchable by anyone. they serve as the last defense for the human race against internal and external threats. Luckly the Spartan program pays off after the Covenant (Alien Military Race) attacks the Humans. The war breaks out approxamitly in the year 2525. Most of the Spartan that face up against the covenant die tragically, only Master Chief is the last remaining one. Master chief is accompanied by a special A.I that helps him do missions, the A.I. name is Cortana. Master chiefs spaceship runs into a special part of space where there is a planet with a big Halo structure around the planet. The humans find out that the Covenant are religious fanatics that are obsessed with the Halo. Cortana finds out that the Halo ring contains the flood and warns Master Chief from releasing them. Cortana finds out the Halo was built by the forerunners to stop the floods. The Aliens try to protect and gain control of special Halo ring. The story of Halo is long, I will finish the story on a later GameLog. But my brother and I had an Amazing time playing Halo 4. We used many cool formations and tactics don't an advantage against the Covenant, I cant wait till we meet the Promethean, they should be a challenging foe! Tue, 27 Nov 2012 17:57:34 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5383&iddiary=9679Guild Wars 2 (PC) - Tue, 20 Nov 2012 11:25:10https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5363 Game Log: This week my friend and I were able to coordinate a pretty large group of friends to buy and play Guild Wars 2 with us. It was pretty hard to organize the whole team and set a date for all of us to meet and play. We all meet at a friend’s house, he basically lives in a really big house by himself. We were all treated to delicious treats and drinks at his nice house. We set up in the basement, thankfully there were enough chairs and tables for all of us to set up. The host served us all Pink Lemonade which was delicious. We are still working in the role of everyone in the game, so far I have to characters that I am able to play with. The first character I am able to play with is my Norn character which is from Wayfarer Foothills which is located in the northern part of the map. It is a mystical place that is covered by a lot of snow. The role of my Norn character is being a Ranger, as a Ranger I get many cool nifty unique features, items, and pets. To start off my Norn Ranger get a long bow for sniping enemies from long ranges, while I use a great sword for close range battles. Also another really cool part about my Ranger is that I get an Awesome pet that is a leopard. The leopard is helpful in many settings it usually takes the bait of being aimed by the enemy while I can stay back safely and snipe the on-coming enemies with my Bow. As a lan group I played as the only Ranger with a pet for the team. We didn’t get to play much but we adventured to new lands which was the human kingdom located at Divinity's Reach. It was awesome to explore new lands and do new quests that I have never done before. We will be doing a special event next time we meet up, It will be for The Lost Shore event. Tue, 20 Nov 2012 11:25:10 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5363&iddiary=9653Team Fortress 2 (PC) - Tue, 06 Nov 2012 20:05:28https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5326Game 101 Game Log: I wanted this GameLog to be a continuation of last week’s game log about Halloween Specials. Last week I went in through detail about Guild Wars 2 Halloween special update, I barely scathed upon Team Fortress 2 Halloween Update. But this week I will go into through detail about Team Fortress 2 update. To start of the Halloween update for Team Fortress 2 was an update that added a couple of new Halloween special maps as well as Halloween special Items and equipment’s for character classes. The official title of the Halloween update was Team Fortress 2 Scream Fortress. The main evil wizards name was Merasmus! He is an evil wizard who is able to call spells and curse you with wicked spells, I will go into more detail about him later. One of the Scream Fortress maps I got to play was Wheel of Fate. The special part about this map was that it had a special wheel in the middle of the map that would judge your fate. Every time an opposing team took over the middle of the map the wheel of fate would set off and determines everyone’s fate. There are many fates that can be chosen from, the first fate is having all the players have small heads. The next faith is that everyone does a Michael Jackson type of dance in the middle of the map with both teams lined up facing each other, the outcome is a bloody... bloody battle right in the middle of the battlefield. Other fates include ginormous heads, low gravity, ubercharge for everyone, and etc. One of the best part about the wheel of fate map is when Merasmus is choosen as a fate. He comes out and fights every person using his wicked spell, if you kill him you receive a achievement. The whole server both red and blue must put effort into working together to kill Merasmus. Other cool stuff the Scream Fortress update has is new hats which include a very scary pumpkin mask as a hat. Other cool aspects of the update is that every health pack and ammo are Halloween themed to you picking up candies to refuel your health and ammo. It’s been an interesting week in terms of how many games released updates and dlc’s for Halloween. There were many interesting updates that had come out for both Guild Wars 2 and Team Fortress 2. The Guild Wars 2 update included new Halloween special locations such as a special forging area which has a witch pot as the main forging place. They added a lot cool nifty stuff such as special PvP battles against opponents. What you do first is you go to the giant brewing witch pot and randomly forge yourself as a Halloween character or costume. Some of the characters that you could be were being a spider, pumpkins, and different kinds of candies. Also the update included many new side quest missions that you could do. One of them was that you find a treasure box, after you open it a screw (mouse like character) would come out of the treasure box and run away with all of the supplies in his big bag. As you would chase him some of the treasure would fall and you would have a limited distance to catch up with him and receive back your treasure or else if you fail it would vanish. The next game that I sort of played this week was team fortress 2. It came with a huge number of Halloween updates. The two major updates added where the maps and items. I believe there were a total of two official Halloween maps that where given out that had many special things that could happen inside of them. The special items that I received while playing are to expire on November 9, so I still have time to mess around with the new craft able weapons. Next week I will go into detail talking about what exactly all the new Halloween updates where for team fortress 2. Sat, 03 Nov 2012 23:23:20 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5310&iddiary=9596The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PC) - Sun, 21 Oct 2012 14:11:51https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5278Game 101 Game Log October 21, 2012: This week has been an awesome week for my Game Log, all of my Midterms have finally finished. I had finally gotten more time to do my Game Log authentically compared to last week. Last week was a big hassle for me to do my Game Log on Guild Wars but I managed to do it. This week has been a big epic adventure for me. I set off this week to play and mod my old favorite game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! I had an epic time looking and finding new interesting mods on Steam Work Shop as well as Skyrim Nexus website. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was developed by my most favorite developers of all time Bethesda Studio. Bethesda studios in the past have developed many other games such as The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. My most favorite game from Bethesda studios has to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim both capture the best fantasy worlds that suck you in and kill your time. The best part about both games is modding them. As I said before I was modding just Skyrim this week. As I modded Skyrim I ran into a few problems but I managed to fix some of them. The first mod I had gotten was Okami a wolf follower. Okami is essentially a wolf companion who helps you on your quest in Skyrim. He is able to listen to simple commands such as sit, follow, and attack. The best part of Okami is when you engage in battle, he is a ferocious wolf when it comes to fighting which make deadly and effective in many of your Skyrim quests. The next mod I got for Skyrim was an Armor mod which changed the fur mods to look better and be higher resolution. Next week I hope to continue modding Skyrim as well as start on the Elder Scrolls of Oblivion. I might also play Guild Wars 2 and explore the lands of Lion’s Gate. Sun, 21 Oct 2012 14:11:51 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5278&iddiary=9561Guild Wars 2 (PC) - Mon, 15 Oct 2012 22:35:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5259 This week has been amazing in terms of what I got accomplished. I was able to sell my old graphic card and upgrade to a higher and better graphics card. The graphic card I sold was the HD 6870 crossfire set; I have many good memories and treasurable moments with it that I will miss. The new g card I decided to get was the HD 6990 which Is a monster graphic card compared to my old system rig. Its performance absolutely throws my old graphic card out of the box. In some games my performance had tripled. I was able to play my battlefield 3 on ultra 1920x1080 with times 4 anti-analyzing with a constant 60 frame rates per second. I mainly got this card though just for Guild wars 2 since I was unable to play it on ultra-settings. Thanks to this new graphic card I was able to fully experience guild wars 2 as it was meant to be experienced. With astonishing performance I set adventure to new lands to learn more about the rich world of guild wars. While I had adventured I did many side quest missions and helped locals with their problems such as rabbit eating local foods. It was pretty funny since when you carried the bag of food to the way point, you would be pushed and pommeled by the rabbits which made it hard to get the objective done. Another amazing thing that I did in guild wars 2 was to set off an adventure to go pass my boundaries of the homeland for the Norn’s. I went to Lion’s Gate which you have to travel their by going through 2 portals. It was an awesome site to be there. There were a lot of people working on forging, trading, and starting up guilds. I will continue next week in exploring the realm of Lion’s Gate.Mon, 15 Oct 2012 22:35:03 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5259&iddiary=9538Guild Wars 2 (PC) - Mon, 08 Oct 2012 21:57:47https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5239I had finally gotten time right before this midterm week to play Guild Wars 2. I had gotten Guild wars 2 last week but hadn’t enough time to dive deep into the world of Guild Wars 2 and Explore. I was overwhelmed right in the beginning of how vast and large the world map was. It seems like it would take me an eternity to fully explore each corner of the world, but that is one of fun aspects to me. To start off I made a Norn race female character which are Huge in comparison to the human race. The Norn about twice as big and bulkier then the humans. I wasn’t too sure of which class to pick but I choose Ranger since it best suited my play style. Usually in games I play as the Support or Sniper class which share a common theme of staying back while your team mates push the front lines. In battlefield 3 I have earned almost all the unlockable playing the support class helping my teammates by suppressing fire and giving them more ammunition. Back to Guild Wars 2 I plan on using the Ranger to support and cover fire as the enemies charge towards my allies. One of the most best and unique parts about being a Ranger in Guild Wars 2 is that you get a pet. You can choose one out of three animals in the game which are Bear, Wolf, and Snow Leopard. It wasn’t a tough decision for me to make, I immediately choose the Snow Leopard as my pet. I have always been a big cat lover, so there wasn’t any second thoughts. Their where three traits to choose from whether your character used charm, force, or dignity. The trait I choose was Force, every dialog during the cut scenes she uses her mighty force to get thing done. Overall I hope to go into greater detail next week of the campaign missions and the side quests.Mon, 08 Oct 2012 21:57:47 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5239&iddiary=9514Guild Wars 2 (PC) - Mon, 08 Oct 2012 21:56:53https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5205I had finally gotten time right before this midterm week to play Guild Wars 2.
