Im still watching the youtube walkthrough. The guys who are playing it are currently at the school part and they are planting bombs in the cafeteria. I didn't see that those things in the halls were cameras. They kept getting buggled. Buggled itself was a funny term to use. It made the game a bit less harsh to play. But the game is still about a school shooting. In a reaction point of view, the guys playing it were laughing through it. Since we are a younger generation we are more distant from the effects and the people involved. But they were obvious 4chan users so its no surprise that they would be desensitized to a degree. I would say the older you are and the closer you were to the event, you might feel moral duty to take this seriously even though it is a game designed to get a reaction. I guess back in the 90s people couldn't tell when someone was trying to get a response. You can only save the game in the parking lot and the game might not let you do certain things like if you have the dufflebag you cant equip it inside the school. Im not sure what to do half the time. An objective list would be very helpful in this game. It might have been counting on the player to know what happens next since it was a well known thing at the time. Now everyone might know what happened at the Boston bombing but not so much about columbine.Wed, 15 May 2013 10:17:36 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5677&iddiary=10020Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 15 May 2013 00:07:10https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5677I watched a playthough of the game since I can't get my version to work. It seems like Pokemon except it was allot more dull than I expected. I was expecting to be put right at the school front doors with a gun and my goal would be to shoot as many people as possible in a time limit. Instead I was put in the daily life of the shooter Eric. His blonde friend was there too. What the characters said I kinda doubt that thats what there were actually saying. I found the part about DOOM being violent kinda funny. It reminded me that at the time Videogames were under attack for influencing children to be violent. They may or may not. I believe its the parents job to teach the children right from wrong before putting them in a situation where they need to experiment. The playthrough got to the basement where we picked up all the equipment they needed for the event. There was a weird flash back too but the text font was hard to read. I guess it was a point to their drug use. interesting game but I wonder when the shooting comes in.Wed, 15 May 2013 00:07:10 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5677&iddiary=10014Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Sun, 12 May 2013 23:01:10https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5677It doesn't work. I have reinstalled this game 3 times already and the only thing I can do is hit escape until I get to a point where I wake up and im in bed. It was weird when I got to the black part with text. I didn't know that the character's name is Eric. I'm Eric (fyi). And he has bowling lessons. I already bowl so it was kinda spooky. But then when I see the general look of thing from the title menu to the place where I get stuck, it seems cheaply made. I remember you saying it was the only game he made. I see why maybe. But then again this game was made a while ago so this seems like what it would look like for the time. Controls seem straight forward, if they would work. I soon started button mashing. I found out that the keys "x" through "n" do they same thing as Esc. And that's all I can really write for now. Until I can debug this or find a fixed version, I can't play it.Sun, 12 May 2013 23:01:10 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5677&iddiary=9987Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 23 Apr 2013 23:58:36https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643I really don't know what to say at this point except for what happened today. So I’m doing some dumb mission where I have to take some dude somewhere. I have gotten a little bored with the game so far. Besides exploring and going everywhere with a plane, there is not much to do. I did hear however that if you go into the mountain with a monster truck, you can find Bigfoot. I heard this when I was in 6th grade. But anyhow, I’m on my way to drop off some guy at some safe house, Like I said, I got bored so I’m skipping all the cut-scenes, and I’m in the banshee I think. They might have renamed it but in this game I’m pretty sure its named the banshee. If you played this game long enough, you know that this is a very fast car in the game. Not Nascar fast but really fast. So im on my way and there are people tailing me in their cars. I let the hostile cheat on so everything is a bit crazier than usually. After about 10 minutes of just driving I finally just decide to get out of the car and let the guy get killed. We are now in that Vagas looking part of GTA. All the guys who were following me kinda crashed to a stop. At the same time, the dude I was driving gets out of the car and starts to shoot at the other guys. At this point there is a fire fight going on. On a stroke of good luck, I have 1 grenade left. I toss it at them awaiting my reward of fire and glowing money on the ground and the dude I’m protecting runs straight at it. WHY?! What kind of suicidal A.I. are we dealing with here? Everyone dies. Funny story though.Tue, 23 Apr 2013 23:58:36 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643&iddiary=9959Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - Sun, 21 Apr 2013 19:47:42https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643I am having so much fun playing San Andreas again. First off, I‘d like to share some thing that I found out about Grand Theft Auto. I noticed that there are no children or priests in the game. Everyone one is mostly white and in their 30s. I don’t even see teenagers or younger people like in their 20s. I guess it is seen as unethical for anyone to kill kids and priests. Back to the game now. Before playing again I remembered something that I would do all the time. I looked up all the cheats I used before. The first thing I did was get a helicopter. It was a lot of fun flying around everywhere and getting my lay of the land again. I got bored with this because there was nothing to hit or shoot up. The next thing I did was get a tank. I went on the best rampage of my life. I got all the way up to six stars and stayed there for another 30 minutes. It was cool to be attacked by all sides and just mow down anyone in my way. But just like flying the helicopter it got boring. The tank caught on fire. At this point I thought I was done for. I got out of the tank in less than a second. In real life this would not happen. When I was running away from the cops, I noticed that CJ was running really really fast. Cop cars would try to hit me while running but I would just dodge them. This goes back to the physics that I was talking about yesterday. These game physics were that of a game and not simulated real life. I found that if I wasn’t facing the people who I was shooting at then I would simply shoot upwards. This seemed dumb to me that he wouldn’t side step and shoot at the same time. My favorite part of the game that has sadly gone away in the newer versions is the radio stations and the music. The radio stations had so many awesome songs on it. I just want these songs back on the newer games. I found one last thing for today. The way they made CJ talk and walk in the game was kinda… well I don’t want to say stereo typical because that would suggest that all black people walk and act like this. At the same time I don’t want to say racist because I don’t think it was Rockstar’s intent to offend people. CJ walked like an ape and sounded generally dumb no matter how far along in the game you got. It as if no matter how much money and power you have, you still came from that crappy little gang infested cul-de-sac.Sun, 21 Apr 2013 19:47:42 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643&iddiary=9927Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - Sat, 20 Apr 2013 23:57:23https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643So I pop in the disc for San Andreas into my PlayStation 2. I start to play and something goes wrong. Out of nowhere it says game disc unreadable. OK, no big deal let’s see what I can do here. There was a tiny plastic piece on the inside that broke off, gluing it didn’t work very well at all. I actually just ended up tricking it into thinking that it was there by putting rolled up paper where it would have been. Great start for San Andreas. I put the game back in and try again. Success! One thing I noticed is that it went straight to loading my previous game. I had apparently started a game a while ago and I have gotten pretty far. I spawn by a Gas station way away from the starting point of the game. If you have played this before or started from the beginning you will spawn in an alley with a bike leaning on the right. When I played this game for the first time, I thought it was such an improvement from the last game. The character had stats that were visible when you would look at your character and there were so many customizable options in the game like getting fat or being really strong. The best part was that it would affect your gameplay. If you were really fat you couldn’t run as far or fast as if you were really strong. I spent hours going to the gym so I could beat people to death more easily. Let’s be honest here. The first thing we did when we started the game was a bit of tutorial. I’m going to side track really quickly here. A good part about this game was that the tutorial was made half for new and half for returning players. San Andreas is all fine and dandy but I’d have to say Vice City was my favorite. You will find in the newer GTA games, when you are going into building, you usually have to go into a little circle/portal thing. From there you would be loaded into where you were going. This was probably a way of saving memory on the game disc. But back to my original point. We went on a rampage as soon as we found a way to punch and kill someone. Then we made a game out of seeing how many stars we could get without dying. I had allot of fun in the Ambulance missions. I remember playing all the different missions allot. I don’t remember what the reward was besides money but there had to be some reason why I was doing it. All in all I would have to say if they came out with an HD revamped version of GTA San Andreas, It would be much better than the current games. They changed their physics and it took a while to get used to. It was more fun with all the funny missions and the story was really interesting instead of your high crime Chinese odd jobs. There was more of a plot and I felt more a part of what was happening. There was even an option to respond positively or negatively. San Andreas is a great game with high replayability.Sat, 20 Apr 2013 23:57:23 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5643&iddiary=9923
