Though this game is relatively simple, it presents challenge well and makes for fun game play. The player’s attacks are not really changed up throughout the game as in the later NN64 version in the series, but that is what can be expected from the earlier video game systems. The level design in Zelda is well done, and I have been paying more attention to it since I am likely to use similar style in my game. This game uses strategy and action well while allowing the player to make choices on their own. The music has a classic sound to it which really puts the player in the adventure mood. The game play is straight forward and the player can figure out what to do by pressing a few of the different buttons. The direction which the player takes is not very strict, the player can choose where to go to a degree, and the link character can interact with a good number of objects and people I have encountered up to this point. When I finally got into the dungeon, I found the area quite confusing; I didn’t know where to go because there were so many room choices. This is common in more classic games because a lot of the game play is trying to figure out your path. I seemed to get a handle on the controls and the game became scarier. My friend and I actually felt fear in certain parts of the game and I could feel my heart rate go up during the more intense battles or chase scenes. After a certain checkpoint, I faced a berserker which was one of the most frightening video game experiences of my life. To defeat this enemy, we had to run away from her and lead her to the outside section. The entire game experience, including sounds and graphics were so amazing and revolutionary. I heard this game received best game of the year award and if that is true, I agree with that claim. One thing that I wasn’t too fond of was the redundancy of the battle zone layouts. The things which the player can hide behind are similar in every “level”. I would not change this however, since it does not take away from the fun of the game. I chose to play this game after seeing the demo in class on wednesday. This is a fascinating amazing game with impressive graphics and extremely fun gameplay. The stylized game design is what i prefer over more realistic shooting games and the co-op feature was an adventurous experience with my comrade. The dialouge brings the player and character together as one and engulfed me into the story. I felt as if i was in the game because of the amount of control I had. the level of control is more advanced and intuitive than previous shooting games. I especially liked that you could use a combination of joystick movements with the A button to perform evasive tactics. the one thing i would change about this game is based around the fact that i get lost a lot, i would add a map feature or hint arrows to help guide the player to the appropriate direction. This time we focused on team battles and single player mode. This game has many variables for a fighting game, such as the bonus stages dealing with breaking targets under a timed setting. The games customizable multiplayer setting is quite nice. Being able to change which weapons appear or how often is good for tournaments or adding a random factor to the game. I find that stock is a better way to play then the timed setting, and the team battle is more fun when battling real people. As tough as the computers can be, real people present a better challenge. When starting the 1 player campaign, I wasn’t as rusty since I had just played team battle. The enemies are tough in a one on one situation and it is a fun challenge. The bonus stages require you to think outside the box and over come the challenge in a creative way. Break the targets was always a difficult one for me, I also like that strategies change according to what character you chose. There is not anything I can currently think about changing in the main game, because it is al set up challenging and fun. I haven’t played this game in some years and I t was a lot of fun. We played the 3 player 4 stock mode for 45 minutes. I tried playing as a different character each game and It was quite fun. The analog joystick of the N64 is quite rough and I think I will have blisters by tomorrow. I played against a veteran player and I believe I was able to hold my own moderately well. I believe this game is great for relieving stress and it was one of the best ideas for Nintendo to come up with. When I play smash brothers I remember the commercials with mascot sized Nintendo characters fighting each other on a field. This type of game has the advantages of a free for all game as well as a team based game. I prefer it to arcade style fighting games because of the free movement and the variety and interactivity present in the different stages. I lost two of my comrades so we had some computer player opponents. This new setup decreased my competitive nature towards my friend. Instead we teamed up cursing at the computer who was constantly “cheating”. We played a different map which was a lot of fun, and turned out to be more challenging than the first one. On the mini games I played much more efficiently and I hardly lost because I was used to it all now. The greatest thing about this game is that you can play it over and over as long as you play with your friends. This time around, I was much less patient with the rolling of the dice, so I definitely would change how long that process takes. I haven’t played this game in at least 5 years and it was a very fun game experience. I talked my housemates into doing my homework with me, so it was a very sociable and competitive experience. The greatness of this particular game is that Nintendo took the experience of playing a board game and added animation. The mini games after every round keep the game interesting in between waiting for your turn. The game board we played on was very small and the star did not move around at all. I feel that it would have been more challenging if things moved around a little more. Also, waiting for people to hit the dice is kind of dull, and it might be more fun if everyone rolled together in the beginning of each turn, then the players could move around quicker.Thu, 18 Jan 2007 00:02:04 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=692&iddiary=1572Halo 2 (XBX) - Tue, 09 Jan 2007 22:00:29https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=406after playing for another hour i got really into the game. the time passed by much faster than the first hour and i was really into it. i found that i was really good at using the in game vesicles. that is definetly one of the more entertaining tools in the game. unlike the first game, halo2 by allows the player to kick off enemy riders. the game became quite difficult when we hit the 3rd cut scene and started playing as the enemy. i found the close combat slightly difficult but the real problem was that i couldn't tell enemy from friend. i sliced everyone. since i haven't played in a while i noticed that the more i got into this game, the more i started cursing. that was interesting.Tue, 09 Jan 2007 22:00:29 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=406&iddiary=1095Halo 2 (XBX) - Tue, 09 Jan 2007 19:03:35https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=406this is my first time playing halo 2. i havent finished the first in the sries but i have always liked this game. the story is quite fun and im really enjoying smashing the aliens faces with my gun. i have found the xbox controler to be a little tricky since i am used to less complex controlers. the view has become more managable after this first hour of play. i find the co-op campaign mode to be very fun because the sense of teamwork makes the game have a deeper dimension. being able to talk to your friends about the game as you play keeps it fun and makes the game easier since i keep dying. the only difficulty with this is the split screen view which is still managable. this is my first time playing xbox in maybe a year or so and the graphics are more than descent except during cut scenes. i have also noticed how often get lost in this game, either i am not up to par on such advanced games or it could use arrows .Tue, 09 Jan 2007 19:03:35 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=406&iddiary=1085
