641345340's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=19061979 Revolution: Black Friday (Other) - Fri, 10 Nov 2017 01:11:46https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6491I wanna talk about the interrogation in my final entry. This part is one of the most important part of the story because it predicts all the dramatic conflicts. I especially like the voice acting of Asadollah Lajevardi who is the warden. Players have to make choices throughout the whole process. Asadollah will beat and threat you. There is a real sense of danger in this part. The game would be a totally different experience without the interrogation part. (This entry has been edited3 times. I think this is the most important and interesting part of the game. Because this sets up the conflict of the story. They have the same goal which is to take back their country. But at same time they have vastly different personalities.Thu, 09 Nov 2017 00:56:06 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6491&iddiary=113951979 Revolution: Black Friday (Other) - Tue, 07 Nov 2017 21:46:09https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6491I started playing 1979 today. I found this game extremely similar to games of Telltale. (They even share the same "XXX will remember this"). I love Telltale's games and 1979 is no different. I haven't got too much into the story but the hook is already there. I feel my choices in the game matter. The part that me and my buddy were fighting with some other dudes really stands out. The clash of ideas is a big and dramatic element of this historic story. I personally find the story of revolution in Iran really interesting so I can't wait for more. I got to the point where me and Chloe met this scumbag. Clearly Chloe has some history with this guy who uses that as a leverage. Player can choose to shoot or not shoot the "bad guy". The problem is that there is no bullet in the gun. So if player chooses to shoot, the bad guy would remember this action while Chloe would be thankful. Choosing not to shoot would make the "bad guy" take your gun. And Chloe would be upset that you don't stand up for her. I think the better choice would be the first one.Fri, 29 Sep 2017 00:09:36 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6469&iddiary=11335Life is strange (Other) - Thu, 28 Sep 2017 18:08:55https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6469I started the second episode to the point where me and Chloe are sitting in the restaurant. This is the first time that I show my special ability to someone else. Remembering the things that happened and tell Chloe is more fun than I imagine.Thu, 28 Sep 2017 18:08:55 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6469&iddiary=11327Life is strange (Other) - Thu, 28 Sep 2017 02:55:30https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6469I finished the first episode tonight. The most impressive plot point I encountered is whether to confess Nathan Prescott to the principle. I was having a hard time because of the moral dilemma. Confessing him to the principle may seem the “good” choice. But I might be in danger for he is the most powerful person in the school. Or I will lose my scholarship. This choice set the tone for the game.Thu, 28 Sep 2017 02:55:30 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6469&iddiary=11322Oxenfree (Other) - Thu, 31 Aug 2017 22:54:34https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6440So I started from where I left last time in Oxenfree. We went to quite an adventure to save Ren. There was a time loop part which excited me so much. We were basically stuck in an area where weird things kept happening. My friend Jonas didn't even realize at first. The scenario of each time is slightly different. There is a whole scene with my own reflection in the lake. The game uses special effect on the screen and music to create a deeply creepy and interesting experience which we don't see a lot in a 2D game. (This entry has been edited2 times. Continuing with searching in the cave, Alex and her brother encounter their first big supernatural event. In the end, the game offers me the first big choice, whether to save Ren or Clarissa. Under the impression that Clarissa is an asshole, I chose to save Ren first. Apart from the unique and surprising story progression, the thing that strikes me the most is still the feeling of being there. Even though this is a 2D game which is hard to immerse myself. Like actions will disrupt the conversation which you may not go back at all. The game really nails the creepy feeling. The power house scene did so well that it kinda scared me. The dialogue system of this game stands out to me as the most innovative part of the game. All the dialogue options are shown as bubbles in the game which you can choose one of them. Like in real life, the timing of the conversation in this game is important for often people jump between subjects. You can also disrupt other's taking which is rare in the video games.
