Tunner's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=808Galaga (Arcade) - Wed, 21 May 2008 22:42:19https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3306In Pac-Man the player engages in meaningful play. When the player first begins to play in the level he must use strategy and skill to choose the right path collect the most dots with out running into any ghosts. The player must also choose when he is going to eat the larger dots to become invincible and eat the ghosts for extra points. He must also decide when he is going to eat the fruit that occasionally appears in the level for extra points as well.Wed, 21 May 2008 22:42:19 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3306&iddiary=6172Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) - Tue, 06 May 2008 18:16:12https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3297Ive been playing all of the guitar hero's for a while now, with exception for the hair metal one, and thought that i would write a log about it. In guitar hero when the song starts the player must be able to hit the right buttons while also strumming the guitar at the right tempo. TThe game is easily disernable because the player can easily see if they are hitting the right notes because if they are the music will play uncut and the rock meter will be in the green or at least rising. If the player is doing badly the music will cut out and the rock meter will be in the red or going down. There is also a fair amount of chance in the game, the player does not know when the special notes will come by that will, if they hit all the notes correctly, give them the star power. Playing with star power can have a drastic effect on your score but rapidly increasing it. Besides these more "technical" reasons for the game being fun to play it also is fun because the music ROCKS and playing that well on a foe guitar ROCKS because learning it for real takes forever.Tue, 06 May 2008 18:16:12 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3297&iddiary=6156Tony Hawks Underground (PS2) - Fri, 18 Apr 2008 20:56:51https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3266I was talking to some kids in my game design class at depaul about N64. every seemed to hold it in such a high light, maybe because when we played we were so young or maybe it was just because the system and 95% of the games on it totally rocked! I was telling David about how i spent an ungodly amount of time playing tony hawk while listening to some punk records. I dont have a 64 anymore but i did by the tony hawk underground about a year ago. i dug back out and started playing it again. I would skate all over town trying to do the biggest jumps over the biggest gaps and get my high scores up. The game on a fundamental level seems so perfect to me. It incourges me to travel all over the map and try and create my own objectives, see how long i could grind a rail, or how high i could jump, or points i could earn on a single trick. When ever i got board of that i could jump right back into the story mode and complete more "orthadox" objectives. Being able to play a game with the freedom to roam and jump in and out of the story when ever i chose was the reason i feel in love with the game.Fri, 18 Apr 2008 20:56:51 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3266&iddiary=6122Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Wii) - Wed, 09 Apr 2008 23:52:18https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3246Well, ive been playing quite alot of smash bros. I got it a coulpe of weeks ago and havent been able to put it down. My friend bought it for me and i had no idea about the single player mode or "adventure" mode, it turned out to be a nice surprise. although each level was incredably simmilar (platform untill you reach a new guy to fight) i did want to keep playing it for some reason, i also thought that the bosses were a lot of fun to fight. I have played the other smash games in the series and this is by far the best with smash balls, a story mode, and snake! this game makes the others look boring.Wed, 09 Apr 2008 23:52:18 CDThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3246&iddiary=6097
