jp's The Sims Bustin' Out (PS2)

    [March 22, 2005 12:57:24 AM]
My wife and I decided to give this a try since we are on our 10-day trial of Gamefly. (a rent-by-mail service for games) We thought we'd try out a game that would potentially appeal to both of us while also being something we might want to buy at some point. So, the Sims seemed the obvious choice.

Actually, it wasn't a good choice and we'll be returning it tomorrow (hopefully there will be time to get another game in the mail!). Why the long faces? Well, the game has a lot of boring downtime (when your Sim is sleeping and when it is at work) and the interface is really hard to understand when you are watching the television from the couch. It doesn't help that neither of us has eagle-eyes but still. We aren't THAT far away from the couch. Also, my wife found the interface rather confusing and complicated, which didn't help matters any (I think it was ok, but it definitely used most of the buttons).

Bottom line? We won't be buying it and we won't be playing it anymore. Sorry Will Wright!

Very...meh. I never really fell for the Sims and this game definitely doesn't help.
