    kwsephiroth's Elder Scrolls 5 : Skyrim (PS3)

    Session #2

For this session of Skyrim, I ventured with my companion to a tower occupied by a tribe of people known as the Forsworn. My companion and I fought through these enemies as we climb the tower. I used my bow and arrows and she used magic and elemental attacks such as ice, fire, and lightning attacks since she is a mage. Overall, the difficulty of these battles was easy. It took at most only 3 arrows to defeat a Forsworn. After making it to the top of the tower, I was surprised to find no special loot, which is usually the prize. I found only one chest and it had only a few gold pieces in it. Usually, the harder the enemies, the better the loot their guarding so this could have played a role. After leaving the tower and venturing back out into the wild, we randomly encountered another Blood Dragon. I've noticed that after a long session of not playing Skyrim, the frequency of dragon encounters increases after resuming; I guess to make up for lost time.

This session wasn't as interesting as the last but at least I claimed another dragon soul as a prize.

    Session #1

Skyrim is the fifth installment of the open-world rpg series known as The Elder Scrolls, which is developed by Bethesda Game Studios. I have owned this game since Nov. 12. 2011, the day after its launch day. First off, my overall opinion of this game is that it's amazing! Players have complete freedom and that's a beautiful thing to me. You can the story line, main quests, or miscellaneous quests. You can also just do random exploration and dungeon crawling to obtain new gear, money, or experience. The character customization is great and you can develop your character in any way you wish by focusing on raising certain skills in the game. Skills levels are raised based on how much the particular skill is used. For instance, my character is sort of a Sniper Thief. I decided to focus on skills such as Sneak, Archery, and Lock picking. I prefer to fight long range with this character of course. Another key element of the story is that you are Dragonborn, which mean you can speak the language of dragons and can absorb their souls after you defeat them. Throughout the game, you acquire Shouts with are dragonic roars that have various magical abilities. Words are strengthened and unlocked using dragon souls you have obtained.

Prior to today, I hadn't played it in a while due to playing fighting games or just being too busy with school work but I thought I choose it to do an analysis. Today, in my first session, I picked back up where I left off with my companion npc after a main quest. I then decided to explore a blank area of the game map in hopes of finding a new location to explore. On my travel, I encountered a big fight. My companion and I were attacked by 3 sabre cats, a bear, and a Blood Dragon(stronger than normal dragons). It was crazy. The dragon was not only attacking my companion and I but it would target the wildlife as well. The wildlife would also change targets from time to time.
After the battle with the dragon, I absorbed its soul. My companion and I then ventured a little further into the wild and another dragon appears. This was a normal less powerful dragon but I was surprised these dragons appeared so close to each other nonetheless. Defeating this dragon ended my first session.
