    jp's Rogue Legacy (PC)

    [January 17, 2014 06:02:44 PM]
Somehow I think that playing this game is showing me how much I'll hate Spelunky even though everyone else loves it. I'm just not that good at the twitchy/reflex based games. Rogue Legacy is definitely one of them, though I should supposedly be getting better because, as your characters die and die, you're able to keep some progress from session to session.

The premise is kind of neat - each time you play you're controlling a son/daughter (really cool that there are daughters!) of the previous character. It's all in the family. These "heirs" are all different and "notable" for having some sort of issue. They might be large/small, heavy/slight, or have some form of impairment (short-sided, color-blind, etc.). It adds a nice bit of flavour though I'm not sure how the mechanics of it work. If I always pick the heir that is color-blind does that mean that future heirs are more likely to be color-blind?
