Sup3rCondor's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplay Even (XBONE) - Mon, 19 Apr 2021 19:36:11 first I really enjoyed this game. There was a lot of mystery and I had no idea what was going on. At first I thought it was a stealth fps, but I quickly realized that its more of a psychological thriller. The gunplay is pretty simple. Its not the best, but it is very passable. What really makes this game unique is the phone that the player is equipped with. It does all kinds of things that all help the player solve different puzzles and uncover clues. For some reason the game was made in Unreal 3. For this reason the graphics all feel outdated. They feel like they should be in an Xbox 360 game. The game does benefit from the stronger hardware and holds its framerate high. The ending was kind of garbage. The developers really wanted the game to feel like the choices in the game matter, but with the way I played the game ended in a lame way. It's clear I am meant to keep playing the game to uncover stuff, but I don't really want to. The story feels like it has ended.Mon, 19 Apr 2021 19:36:11 CDT Protocol (360) - Sat, 17 Apr 2021 13:39:21 played this for about 20 minutes. The frame rate is abysmal! I swear it was running at a solid 10-15 fps for most of that time I was playing. Its bad. Its too bad because the game seems fun and like it has some good ideas! Unfortunately its pretty much unplayable with the framerate like it is. Maybe I'll play if for PC one day, but I will not be playing it on the Xbox 360 again. I would keep playing if I didn't have so many other, better games to play at the moments. (This entry has been edited1 time. This game was advertised as a co-op game, but I played the whole thing solo. I never really felt like I needed more people to play with. The game works great as a single player game. As I previously mentioned, the gameplay is fast and exciting. The game suffers from the same thing that Revenge of the Sith does. The overall story and world are fascinating and interesting. However, the moment to moment scenes and dialogue is not good, and even really bad sometimes. There were plenty of head scratching moments when characters would say one liners that didn't fit the situation at all. Given that Bulletstorm and Gears of War Judgment had very passable dialogue, this is disappointing. It doesn't drag the game too far down though. Finally I want to express my gratitude for gamepass that allowed me to play this game in day one with my subscription. It really is the best deal in gaming, and its only getting better. Anyone who games on Xbox or PC should be subscribed.Sat, 17 Apr 2021 13:34:38 CDT (XBX X/S) - Wed, 14 Apr 2021 19:17:09 more I play this game the more I like it! The gameplay is fast paced and super fun. There is an interesting mechanic with the class I chose (not sure if every class has the ability) in which as I shoot enemies, I regenerate health. This keeps the action high as I run out of cover to shoot as many enemies as possible. The story is pretty interesting, but the voice acting is pretty low quality. Thankfully its not bad enough to take away from the experience. I'm definitely going to beat this game, I'm not sure how much time I have left in it.Wed, 14 Apr 2021 19:17:09 CDT of Honor (360) - Wed, 14 Apr 2021 15:06:46 game is not great. Its a pretty standard first person shooter and is very obviously a Call of Duty clone. Only this game does everything on a subpar level when compared to CoD. The gunplay is stiff and awkward, and the graphics are very bad for their time. This game came out in the same year as Mass Effect 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops, and it looks more like it came out in 2004. The story is also quite bad. Its a pretty standard military shooter that glorifies the US war effort in Afghanistan. I would say though that is the main redeeming feature of this game. Unlike the present day based CoD games, Medal of Honor tries to reflect reality. Though it largely fails, the effort is appreciated. I beat this game in 3-4 hours, so there really wasn't much too it. I would only recommend playing this if you have nothing else to play. Its a last resort type of game.Wed, 14 Apr 2021 15:06:46 CDT Rock Galactic (XBONE) - Wed, 14 Apr 2021 09:27:19 game about mining in space as a group dwarves!? And players can embark on this adventure with up to 3 friends? What's not to love! I played this game with my friends for 2 and a half hours yesterday and we had a blast! The gameplay is to tier in this game. The gunplay is fun, each player-class has very specific and useful jobs, and the art-style is beautiful. This is a gamepass game so none of us had to buy it. Gotta love gamepass! We gonna keep playing for sure!Wed, 14 Apr 2021 09:27:19 CDT Horizon (360) - Mon, 12 Apr 2021 09:26:16 love the Forza Horizon games. It was very interesting to see where it all started. Surprisingly there are a lot of parts of the game that hold up really well. The gameplay is a big standout. All of the car stats feel impactful, and different. Its very playable and fun. Each car itself even has a unique feel. Talking about the cars, the car models also hold up very well! They all look realistic, and sounds great. Though the models lack the depth of cars in modern games, they still look great. The environments in this game suffer from something that a lot of games from this generation did: there isn't a wide variety in the environmental color pallet, so pretty much everywhere on the game map feel the same. This also adds to the fact that there isn't a crazy variety in race tracks the player races on. These are minor things that probably only a 2021 gamer would complain about. To my surprise, the game features a light storytelling element that involved beating a handful of voice acted racers. Each race involves facing off against one of these people. In order to progress, the player has to beat the racers. This kind of forced me to keep the difficulty at medium to ensure I beat the racers to progress, when I usually would've played on the harder difficulties. I'm not sure how much one could acquire Forza Horizon for these days, but if it is $10 or less, I would say it is totally worth the purchase and play.Mon, 12 Apr 2021 09:26:16 CDT 0 (XBONE) - Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:54:16 I have finished the game. It took me a solid 27 hours to be, so its pretty significant for a Japanese brawler. The story was great all the way through. There were some melodramatic and cheesy moments throughout, but these didn't hurt the game overall. The combat was fun and only started to feel a little boring towards the end of the game (I was playing on the easiest difficulty to save time). The most impressive thing I would say is that with every character in the story, I liked at one point or another. There aren't really any plain caricatures in the main story. Everyone has motivation, and a lot of the time it makes sense. The game world is great! I haven't ever been to 1980s Tokyo, but this game gave me a glimpse into what it was like. Like any good Japanese game, Yakuza 0 takes itself very usuriously serious. I felt just about every emotion possible while playing through the game. Its a special experience, and I look forward to continuing my journey through the Yakuza series.Thu, 08 Apr 2021 10:54:16 CDT (XBX X/S) - Mon, 05 Apr 2021 09:31:48 is a 1-3 player co-op game. Continuing to play shows that the game is designed for this. Unfortunately I don't have people to play with, so I'm enjoying the game on my own. The story continues to be extremely cheesy. The voice acting is mostly garbage. The game feels like a Michael Bay movie. I'm reading onling that the story will only take 12-14 hours to complete, so this is a game that I will likely finish.Mon, 05 Apr 2021 09:31:48 CDT Horizon (360) - Mon, 05 Apr 2021 09:25:54 played a couple of races last night, and one of them was super lame. It was a Ferrari vs Lamborghini race, and I can't afford to buy either one yet, so I upgraded my 90's lambo in order race. I would normally be fine with this, but one of the things I like to do in the forza games is convert my cars to AWD to allow for better launch and more control while driving. Forza Horizon doesn't have that ability so I've been forced to drive rear wheel drive cars like my 90s lambo. The control in these cars is minimal, and I feel like I had to race dirty in order to win in it. I was crashing into other racers in order to pass them, and I'm not a fan of that. I still think I'm getting close to the end, but we'll see.Mon, 05 Apr 2021 09:25:54 CDT
