    LEMONed's Yoshi's Island (NES)

    [February 9, 2007 04:31:03 AM]
Well, for the other half of the game, it's Yoshi's Island is pretty addictive, just as the other Super Mario games. Throughout the game, there was only one specific part that I got annoyed off. In the game, if Yoshi was to come in contact with an enemy, baby Mario somehow flies up into the sky in a little bubble making a really annonying crying sound. Only after when you get baby Mario back into your possession does he stop crying. Or, after awhile when the given amount of time is reached, baby Mario gets kidnapped by the enemy, and then it's game over basically for that stage. As the game progresses, the stages and/or levels become somewhat more difficult. Yet, it's still pretty manageable if one is pretty much into games.

During the first hour of playing Yoshi's Island, I had very much enjoyed playing this game. In this game, as the title had stated, the main character is Yoshi, instead of Mario, the usual hero of the Super Mario games. The main objective of this game is that all of the Yoshis must deliver baby Mario back to his mom and dad. To do that, the Yoshi's must past through each stage/world, being one step closer to delivering baby Mario back home. To me, this storyline is acually quite humorous as well as amusing. Another thing that I found quite interesting in this game is that for each level you beat, baby Mario is then transfered to another Yoshi of a different color. And from there, another adventure begins, as in another level to beat. Not only do the Yoshi's come in differet colors in different stages, but through some parts of the game, the Yoshi's are able to turn into helecopters, trains, etc. which is also quite entertaining to me. Overall, the game is quite simple to play and individuals of all ages is able to play this game without any difficulty. It is all very fun and entertaining.
