The third day I played with a friend who happen to know cheat codes. After putting them in I had a abundance of guns and about five hundred thousand dollars to my disposal. I followed no rules after that. Not even the mission. I was out to have fun. I purposely wanted to get as many stars as possible and become a famous wanted man. I had my character Carl shoot police in the head and got a star from that. When I stole his car and drove recklessly down Rodeo Drive I received another. I was actually enjoying the game when I could just go on a killing spree and not worry about getting caught or doing random acts for cash. I used a bat to club a lady for her cash and brass knuckles to kill a cop for his gun (even though I already had enough, I wanted more).
I could quickly tell that when playing this game you get so immersed into it that you violate all moral values to have fun. I believe that is the overall objective of the game, to be a horrible citizen to society to gain sex appeal, respect and street cred. There is absolutely no way you can not do wrong in this game and enjoy yourself. You have to steal, kill and destroy to have a good time. Which questions some of the people we live with today that do horrible acts and find them exciting. I think this game could generate thought of breaking moral code because you feel a rush when doing bad.
I also can tell the racism in not just San Andres but in other GTA games. If the character wasn't a black thug from the streets then he was a gangsta Italian with the mob. It is giving the world a bad perception of these two types of races. I'm not trying to say that black people, Hispanics or Italians do not engage in some of these of this behavior but they are not the only ones. Why can't the creators make a GTA where a white person or a female violating the law and ethical values? It really pulled the race card when it came to creating this game and I believe that that in itself is violating a moral code. If you have the power to change peoples opinion or shed light about a situation to millions of viewers wouldn't you want that person to be shown in the best way? Well, the creators did their very best to show blacks, italains, and hispanics is the worse situations and in the worse light. I personally don't agree with just choosing a certain type of race to do these horrible crimes. It should be everyone and anyone. Asians and Whites shouldn't be excluded from this but then again they're excluded from any wrong doing in the real world.
