    aleezy23's Prototype 2 (360)

    [October 7, 2012 04:49:56 PM]
Prototype 2 involves revolving around skyscrapers, stealing the form of anyone in your path and forming weapons with your morphing abilities, all within the infectious city of New York City.
If you haven’t played the first Prototype, New York has been infected again by the Backlight virus. The former main character Alex Mercer is a darker character than before, and has been replaced with the new protagonist James Heller.
With a more brutal character that reminds me of the same attitude and style as God of War’s Kratos, Heller is no push over. The cutscenes are in a stylish black, white and red highlight, way better than the cutscenes from the last game. Heller has the same abilities as Mercer, but with more benefits. The controls feel more responsive as I can flow through the city no problem, if it’s for a side mission or escaping the military. However, what I like most about the game is that I can use two powers at the same time matched with the square and triangle buttons, allowing for a mix-up of heavy and light attacks. For example, I used the Claws for fast swift attacks on square and then hit the triangle button for the Hammer Fist for strong ground attacks.
Unlike Mercer, Heller has a great defensive option, because you are constantly being attacked from close or long range. Just by pressing the block button Heller releases a shield that will block and parry any move from a monster and reflect weapon fire from the military. This is the perfect shield for putting you in a defensive or offensive position, depending on how you want to take it.
Prototype 2 is a way better version than the last game, as it feels like an Altiar to an Ezio. I can use the powers in any way a wish as Radical gives me the free will to do so. If you haven’t played the first game, Prototype 2 will fill in those blanks so you won’t even have to worry about it. Prototype 2 is the game for high entertainment with great sounds, cutscences and crazy unique combat makes the game come to life.
