Kaz's GameLog for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PC)

    Saturday 21 January, 2017

So today I've learned something about myself; I threw a kids ball down a well. I wasn't even aware there was an achievement, is something up with that? Perhaps I have been playing to many videogames that I do things simply because well, I can. On the plus side though I covered a rabbit in soot so it could hang around with its black friends. Later I had trouble with a very simple puzzle involving a puzzle hamster wheel, but I digress cause now I can begin the game proper.

What are your thoughts on games being used to allow players to experiment with ethics?

Well I personally actually kinda like the freedom to experiment. To be the bad guy every once in a while, I think it helps me learn more about what being wrong does in its consequences or lack thereof. On the opposite side however being bad in a game a few times has taught me more than a few tricks which I actually have applied in the real world and in fact have gotten away with too. Ultimately I'm much more appreciative of a games ability for player agency than the ones without.
