Brando Calrissian's GameLog for Nier Automata (PS4)

    Wednesday 26 September, 2018

It's interesting that you can Buy HUD elements. The robots I found were Wearing clothing, talking, amd generally seemed scared. I Felt bad and tried to find peaceful solution, but game forces the player to attack eventually. They formed a wierd cacoon and produced a Wierd Android type machine. It was really hard for me to beat and took a few tries, but afterwards it basically reincarnated itself from the dead body. It also seemed to have blood. I'm not sure where this will go, but it's definitely important.

Good job Brandon! You’ve got some interesting thoughts in here and I’m curious to see where you could take them. Your thoughts on nature needing to win the battle instead of all of humanity is neat, and your observation that some enemies don’t attack unless provoked is interesting. The “Ship of Theseus” thought experiment takes on a whole new level when applied to a sentient creature (the merchant with the knee), and I’d be curious read your further thoughts on that. You say you “would argue humanity is in the non-physical aspects,” as a further thought experiment imagine that all of the merchant’s original parts had been collected, repaired, and then rebuilt into a new sentient machine. Would that machine just be a new Merchant? Or would it be the old merchant, and the one you spoke to is the “new” one?
