RNinjate's GameLog for Wii Sports (Wii)

    Friday 12 January, 2007

Because I lacked in depth in my last log, I would like to clarify the second hour of experience that I had with wii sports.

After playing wii golf, we played wii tennis. My friend Christian actually played tennis on a team in highschool and was able to transfer them over to the wii console. I found this very impressive. He soon caught up to Ashkahn who owns the wii. I didnt catch on as fast during my tennis exploits however, but I did learn alot about tennis and eventually caught up with my friend Marc. We played about 15 games and after much turmoil I finally started defeating him. The only complaint that I had with two/four player wii tennis was that one team/player gets the back of the court and its hard to make out the ball.

Then we played wii boxing. We never played against eachother because we didnt have two wii nunchaku and even if we did, we'd probably just end up beating eachother up in real life. Wii boxing was fun but not realistic. I also enjoyed wii bowling because the sensitivity of the controller impressed me and it felt like real bowling. I caught on to wii bowling fairly fast and was able to almost make the professional level with my "mii" (professional means that you build up a cumulative score of over 1000)

    A lacking game log.

While you describe your experiences playing the Wii (which, by the way, I am jealous that you have has such quality time with it) and detail the inter-personal reactions to the game, I would have much preferred that you talk about the gameplay. Having a Wii, you have a chance, that most of us don't have, to really delve into the future, or atleast the most current present, of game design. I'd like more depth.

    To TrappedVector-
My first log about this game was the place that I chose to speak about the innovations. In the second log, I recorded my personal experience.
If anything is lacking, I find this website to be lacking in a networking sense. I have no way of sending direct messages to you and I have no way of even knowing who you are.
I spoke about my experiences playing the wii and I appreciate the constructive side of your critisisms however, I have no way of editing my already published log entries. Perhaps instead of being jealous, you can get one and find out for yourself. Its moderately fun but the sports get boring after a while. Perhaps they will be better when the wii comes out with actual sports games.
