Snuggles's GameLog for Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)

    Friday 19 January, 2007

Having now completed the game, I can agree that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has garnered its classic status. It is the ultimate GTA up until this point due to its expansive world and great structure. The missions are exciting, the story enticing, and the game play is incredible. The shooting portion of the game could still use more improvement in that the lock on system remains to be one of the weakest parts of the game. This game is a masterpiece, and one that will take you 40 plus hours to complete. The best part of GTA:SA is the best part of the entire series, it is simply fun to play. There are many things about the game that could have been more finely tuned, but at the end of the day the game is just too enjoyable to really be effected by the little things. Also, the level of character customization adds a lot to the players connection with their character. Clothes, body size, tattoos, are all optional. The game also has a lot of emotion to it for a GTA game. It can be hilarious, sad, exciting, and awe inspiring. It is the tale of gang life, and it spans an entire state and one character. It begins with the death of CJ's mother and him being framed for the murder of a police officer by crooked cops, moves to CJ uniting with allies all over San Andreas, and finally to his final battle with beating the framing rap and taking down those that have betrayed him. Although the ending was somewhat disappointing(I was expecting something with more depth), I thoroughly enjoyed the story anyway. A great game and experience, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the ultimate modern day classic.
