    GAMEPLAY

    I continued through the game and played through the Goron dungeon. I fell in love with these characters the first time I met them. They had a nice personality that I could relate to as a kid and now. They bring a sense of a carefree time before Ganon threatened the land of Hyrule, and they bring certain cuteness to the game.

    There was a lot of running around from place to place so that I could get access to the Goron dungeon and I ended up needing certain bracers that gave me the strength to pick up bombs. It was really exciting to open up a whole new world of secret rooms and the like that were once inaccessible from the lack of bombs.

    I am also very pleased with the fact that there hasn’t been anything too stalling while playing trough the game. I am able to more or less just play through without getting extremely lost and disoriented. Whenever I get caught up and can’t find out where to go for too long in a game I get real upset and just stop playing. I haven’t don’t that with this game and I don’t think I will, for a while at least.

    GAME DESIGN

    The design of this game must have taken an extremely huge amount of time and effort on the teams part. The world of Hyrule had various side quests and areas to explore which lead to a rich game that had great graphics (for the time) and a strong plot backing it up. It is no wonder this game made it onto the classics list.

    As I progressed through the game I would constantly receive little rewards for my hardships and energy, and every once and a while I would get a larger reward. This was a great way to keep me going through the game. I would always be opening doors or figuring out what I had to do to make a path appear trying to find what is on the other side. Whenever there was a chest I would get a slight leap in my mind and become a little giddy.

    The only qualms I have with this game is how often Navi, your fairy, interrupts your game-play. I guess it’s a good system however because Navi doesn’t fully stop the game whenever you have to talk to her but shouts at you and you just have to press Up-C to hear her. Navi would then tell you where to go or what you need to do next. While I didn’t need this so much because I we playing straight through and didn’t forget what people had told me, I could see how if I didn’t play for a couple days I would forget and Navi’s comments would be much appreciated. Aside from that I was extremely happy with the amount of cut scenes that where there, but not overpowering.

    Great game and I am happy to have a chance to play it once again.
