Aldovarius's GameLog for Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2)

    Wednesday 23 September, 2009

As I play through the game i noticed that almost everything about this revolves around violance. As you play through the game you play as CJ and in order to progress in the you have to finish some type of mission usually killing someone. I understand CJ is trying to find the people who killed his mother, if it wasn't for her killing he wouldn't even have gone to San Andreas. Using Kant's 1st formulation the moral rule would be, person A may take revenge on person B when person B killed one of the loved ones of person A. Now to univerlize that rule, what would happen if everybody in extreme circumstances decides to kill those responsible. Then if that were true, then everything would fall into chaos. Everybody would be their on police, society would fall into anarchy (I think). The moral rule would self destruct when we try to make it a universal law. Therefore it is wrong for someone avenging someone because it cause more chaos.

Isn't San Andreas already an anarchic world?
