Current opinion of this game
Interesting puzzler. If you played Wetris, you know what it's about.

I plopped this into my PS2 to see if there was anything more to this game. There isn't. I cleared "Ancient Civilization" and declare myself done with this game. Well, I would actually like to try out multiplayer but I only have one controller.

This is a nice game, non-violent and really easy to understand. Ok, easy to play...hard to master (if you want all the mega score-combos and whatnot). I would recommend it for children and for adults who just want to lay back and relax a bit.

I played this for some 20 minutes over the weekend and I'd also played it a couple of more times since my last log entry. Since then I've cleared the first three levels. That means that officially I only have the 4th level to clear and I'd be done. (assuming there aren't any bonus levels).

It is funny that all four levels play the same. I can't really say what the difference is. Each of them has a different "monster" and different goals in terms of points. (basically you have to get a certain amount of points in a certain amount of time or the monster trashes your level, making it hard to win) To put it another way, this game has 4 levels of difficulty that aren't very difficult. How lame.

Now, don't get me wrong. The game is fun and I've enjoyed and will continue to play it now and then. It is neither more nor less than what I expected. (if I had paid $40 I would be very pissed off though...)

What I would like to try out though is the two-player mode. A lot of puzzle games are "ok" until you get some old two-player rivalry going on.

I just bought this today though I've been curious about it for a long time. I had heard about Wetrix but never played it and was intrigued by this sequel. Given that I never played the original, there was a good chance that I would find this enjoyable.

The basic concept is fun. You have to build closed in walls to trap water (when it starts to fall). When you burn the water (with fireballs) you score. This is basically a game where you want to "live on the edge". The manual explains all the different score multipliers you can go for...and believe me, you'll need them!

I played through the tutorial (not a very good one) and had a go at the first level. Needless to say, I didn't clear it though I am looking forward to trying again sometime soon.
