Wow. Today has been a busy day for GameLog entries!

I just finished this game! Yay! I'm so happy...it's been a while since I finished a PS2 game. Yay!

The final boss was much easier with the weapon upgrade. Much easier! (I beat it on my first try). Yay! Can you tell I'm happy?

I really enjoyed this game and there is soooo much replay value in it. Once you beat it, you can keep on playing and try to get EXTRA upgrades. Basically you can nuy mega-weapons, upgrade those, etc. etc. The enemies are also much tougher this time around. I think I'll pass, but it's nice to know that I can keep on playing this...right? Now I need to find the 3rd Ratchet game! (Up your arsenal?)

Unfortunately, saving my game after beating it reset the clock on my saved game. I think it must have been a little over 24 hrs. Phew!

One last comment, I'm glad to know that only one sheep was harmed during the making of this game. I can live with the fact that it had it coming. Hehehe...

(I wonder, did they eat it?)

Last night I spent about an hour and a half "grinding". Yup, just like in an RPG. I leveled one of my weapons (the bouncer) and almost leveled another..(the shiled thingie).

Sigh.

I hope that I can clear the boss now...otherwise...back to the treadmill (this time to earn enough cash to buy the next level of armor, currently 150,000 bolts away).

I'm fighting a really tough boss. I've only been able to get him (it?) down to half its health...not too good really. I might have to regroup which essentially means going back to a previous level and using a bunch of weapons I have that have not been "leveled". In other words, I need my weapons to be nastier!

It's still fun though!

Wow. I've made so much progress on this game that I don't really know where to start. My saved game is a few minutes shy of 20 hours and I've fought bosses, gained a ton of new weapons and a ton of new abilities. This game is still fun, though it is getting harder and harder.

Holey moley! I'm already at 8 hours of play and this game is really, really, good.

There is so much variety of things to do! So many things you can worry about without having the typical mini-quest-overload problem that other games have. In other words, this is not open-ended gameplay but it IS "keep-em-coming and keep-em-different" gameplay.

Last night I wrapped up a Giant Robot Battle on a little moon with low gravity! The moon was so small that when you jumped and looked down you could see it as a ball. So much fun! And not easy either... it took me a couple of tries until I was able to clear it.

I love this game.

Ooooh! A racing section that is very reminiscent of Wipeout (and for good reasons). What fun!

I really like how there are many parts of the game you can return to for further rewards and whatnot. It basically provides little diversions you can engage in if you don't feel like playing the "real" game for any amount of time. I just bought the sniper rifle and can't wait to try it out...hehehe.

I've always loved platformers so I've been itching (for a loong time) to play the Ratchet & Clank games. A friend of mine suggested I not play them all, but start with the latest. Well, the first one I've been able to get my hands on at a bargain price was this one, so here goes.

My first impressions are actually not to good, at least of the first 30 mins or so. The textures seem kind of bland (compared to Metroids!) and the auto-target is kind of hit/miss. After playing now for a little over two hours (and having "finished" two planets) I can say that my impressions are, well...correct. However, as far as the targeting goes, it becomes less of an issue with some of the new weapons I've picked up since then.

I like the weapons and the currency you use to buy new ones. It's fun and it gives it a little bit of an RPG feel...Not really. What it does is help me have some nice goals in mind (oooh! Have to get the sniper rigle thingie) and makes dying not so painful. After all, I don't think you lose any of the money you pick up along the way. So, it is a fun game with nice little interludes added in with some variety in the actions, options and whatnot. I'm enjoying myself!
