Current opinion of this game
Interesting, though not that fresh.

I've moved on to another game...there simply isn't much there in this one as the puzzles are THAT fun (they also got a lot harder..hehehe) and I HATE having to start at the beginning whenever I want to play in challenge mode. Lame. If Tetris did it right how come this game can't?

Here are my stats according to the "Settings" tab...

Challenge: 2:06
Puzzles: 1:27
Versus: 0:00
Complete 48% (I completed 48 puzzles)

I'm now much better at challenge mode having figured out some "tricks". Basically, you can start to draw a "path" before the blocks fall and then exectute it. This helps save some time! My best letter grade is currently D-! I've been able to reach level 3, but I've discovered that you can't start a challenge at a previously cleared level. That REALLY sucks! I don't want to have to go through the whole thing again! (imagine playing tetris and not being able to set the starting level...)

On the puzzle side, I've cleared 40, which puts me at a clean 40% completion. (gee, I wonder how many puzzles there are in all) The puzzles are getting a lot harder which is fun, though I do hope they don't become impossible! Hehehe

I've played a little over a half-hour...according to the carts' stats anyways. Good game. I'm still rotten at the challenge mode (though I did beat my previous high-score!) and the puzzles are a mixed back (I've cleared 30 of them).

I'm not sure how much lasting appeal this game will have with me, but it isn't really that bad. Perhaps it could have benefitted from a cure/playful theme? (yes Chu Chu Rocket, I'm talking to you!)

As one of the early DS games to become available (used) at a decent price, I can't say that my expectations were all that high. However, the reviews for it are generally reasonable. Nothing to blow your socks off, but it aint that bad either.

So, here we are. New game, new fun?

Sort of. On my way to work this morning I cleared the first 15 puzzles. (I hope there are many more!). They're not bad and I can see this getting harder.

I also played the challenge mode. I suck. Real bad. My best "letter" score is an E-. In my defense I have to say that it isn't that easy to play on the train (harder to have fine-control with the stylus), but still. I need to practice a lot.

Verdict so far? It is fun. It really isn't more than "tetris with a twist" though (for the challenge mode).
