Last night I sat down and played the "final" level. (make a moon, or something like that). I was very relaxed, talking to a friend and just rolling away. I guess being relaxed is very helpful because I absolutely destroyed my previous record. (400m?) with a new one that was somewhere around 850m!!

Wow! Not bad I thought as I rolled up islands, storms, clouds, rainbows and thunder gods. I began to wonder, as the no-time-left siren began to wail what the "limit" was. In other words, what I needed to unlock the "eternal" level. Given my prior experience with trying to get the eternal level unlocked I thought I might be close, but never, ever did I think I would have unlocked it.

I did.

Wahooo! My first eternal Katamari level...(I haven't played it yet!

Grrr..

In order to unlock the first eternal mode level I need to make a Katamari that is 1 meter 30cm large. (in make a Star 4 level). Last night I tried 3 times. Wanna guess how large I was able to make my Katamari's?

1rst try:
1 meter, 29 cm, 8 mm

2nd try:
1 meter, 29 cm, 7 mm

3rd try:
1 meter, 27 cm, 8 mm

4th try:
1 meter, 29 cm, 9 mm

Can you tell why I'm frustrated?
ONE LOUSY MM!!! AAAARGH!

What is doubly frustrating is that towards the end of the time limit, the Katamari is VERY heavy and will hardly budge, also the screen starts to fade to white so you can't see anything anymore. And how am I supposed to pick up stuff I can't see? Huh?

I've played a bit more Katamari and finished all the constellations. (I had like two left...), then I played some of the levels a bit more. I'm trying to unlock eternal mode, but I'm probably not even close...sigh.

Must..keep rolling...sticky ball...of..trash.

If you're reading this, then the chances that you've already played this game (or know what it is about) are pretty high. So, I'll won't bore you with the dirty details or try to describe my wonderful feeling of amazement to you. You already know that.

I've already played some Katamari. At a friend's house here and there...but I finally bought my own copy. Pre-owned...but not cheap. Oh well, I guess you have to lose some now and then. (I still won't buy a game if it's more than U$20) Anyways, this game is good because it is so easy to pick up (I've taught my wife to play) and so bubbly. It's good ole fashioned fun. I'm not crazy, but many times I've found myself laughing while playing. It's fun and funny, and wacky and zany and light.

I love Katamary. (what a fine name for a sequel, eh?)

What don't I like? I wish I could go back and play some levels without the time limits! (just for fun...I'd like to pick up all the objects) and I wish the game was longer! I've already finished it and played less than...hmm... 4 hours? I wish there was more!
