Current opinion of this game
It's an overall good experience of a game that is not condescending with you as a player.

GameLog is back online and I've just realized that I DID lose some information. Sigh. Oh well, I can't really complaing since it must have been not more than a few day's worth of entries. Actually, the only reason I noticed is because my GameLog for this game was missing!

Well, I've already finished it and it does't make sense for me to try to "recreate" all my impressions along the way..though I can say the following:

1) My son really enjoyed watching me play it. He did get a little bit bored in those parts where I ran into trouble.

2) When playing it I felt that as a player I was not being condescended to. There are some games that make you feel almost stupid for playing them (regardless of whether you are having fun). I felt like this game didn't treat me like I was a little kid.

3) The music was really good. I enjoyed the flavour and mood it provided. (for example, in the garage where the rhino-dudes sell upgrades)

4) At a low-level, controls were a bit finicky and I've played games with better camera control. However, in the grander scheme of things I wasn't terribly troubled by these issues.

5) The final boss battle has some really cool parts. Especially at the end when your vision is mostly impaired and the controls are reversed.

6) I was surprised by the fact that the last levels of the game actually seemed easier!

7) The characters, both NPC and not, were pretty fun.

8) I loved snapping pictures of monsters/creatures etc. It is ESPECIALLY exciting when you're trying to take a picture of a baddie that is about to attack.

9) I really appreciated the fact that the main character (Jade) was...a character! (as opposed to a bimbo, or a cardboard cutout)

Well worth playing!
