Current opinion of this game
Unbelievable concept. It doesn't quite work that well though. Clearly it loses a lot of appeal when played alone.

Interestingly, having just looked at the manual (of the PSP collection), the writers were forward-thinking enough to recommend "This game was originally released in 1992 so some of the questions and answers might not be valid considering times have changed in the last 14+ years. When playing this game you must try to think of what the answer would have been in 1992!"

:-)

I've saved Capconia twice already and it's time to try something different.

If someone had told me that there was an ARCADE trivia game with a fantasy theme and boardgame-like presentation I would have assumed they were lying. Or drunk. Or maybe both. I guess it goes to show how diverse games really are, across multiple formats and all (and how, even after all these years, there are crazy games out there I've never heard of).

However, that doesn't mean I found the experience of playing this game all that interesting or exciting. It's trivia...and there is a fantasy theme to the presentation. It is a bit jarring when a "Slime" asks you who has the record for all time base steals in baseball. :-)
