Current opinion of this game
Not worth it unless you really don't know anything about Bust-A-Move. There are probably better versions out there on other platforms.

Bleagh. I'm not even sure why I bothered with this. I guess I hoped that the DS version might try something new and/or different? Unfortunately it doesn't really, in so far as I was willing to play, it's basically the same old game but with controls that are slightly wonkier (less precise), thus making it a little more frustrating. It didn't help that the gap between both screens didn't make things any easier.

Actually this makes me wonder about something...so the gap between screens is something that actually does matter when you have a game with a large "virtual" screen. It makes a difference for the player in terms of aiming, timing, and so on. So, a "clever design" could take this into account by, for instance, ensuring that the virtual screen has the same dimensions as the two physical screens + gap. This makes sense especially if/when you know that the dimensions of the gap won't vary... Which makes me wonder if the game felt wonkier and uncomfortable to play because I was using a DS XL which has different dimensions than the regular DS?

kudos for original design to Rodrigo Barria
