This is one of those games I think I'll enjoy until the moment in which it becomes clear that I simply don't have the time to invest in developing the skills necessary to play it. It's a shame really, because the game is actually quite interesting in the visual sense of the word. The story is bonkers and I really have no idea what it's about, but the enemies are incredibly interesting. I'm just enjoyed their crazy concepts and designs....and all this running on hardware that, at this point in the game, is really showing its age.

I'm probably halfway through stage 3 (which is underwater, of all things), and I'm really, really hoping that the next time I boot it up I'll be able to continue from where I left off rather than the beginning of the stage. The game's structure seems a little strange to me because there are LOTS of boss fights, some more spectacular than others which is confusing since I've often sighed in relief upon defeating one only to find out that the stage continues!

kudos for original design to Rodrigo Barria
