I guess I shouldn't have finished playing Flower because I've soured on it. Only a little, to be fair.

The game has 6 levels/areas (not counting the end credits, which are also playable). I really enjoyed the first 3. Peaceful, exhilarating at times, calming, soothing. All nice things. The last three felt very much like a chore. The tone changed, they're darker, even sinister, and I felt like I just had to get them over with to move on to the next one. In a nutshell I feel like what I enjoyed most about the first three areas was taken away in the last three. Even the last level, which started out really nice - as you collect flowers you "restore" a city - seemed to go on for far too long. Maybe it's my own fault for being a "completist" (in this case, trying to get all the flowers) and had I simply gone with the flow (no pun intended) I might have enjoyed it more. I guess I'm also really annoyed by the electric zapping in the 5th area. I wasn't expecting it and it was a definite buzzkill...sigh. Again no pun intended.
