I'm trying to whittle down my Nintendo DS backlog of games and this little "gem" was on the pile. (the backlog is now at 16 games, ack! I thought there were fewer already, sigh)

In a nutshell it's a musical beat matching game with unknown (to me) music and a cast of cute and colorful anime characters. Everything is music-themed in this game: all the enemies and items so far, at least.

The gameplay novelty comes from the fact that you're doing two things at once. One is matching "beats" with button presses. The second is tapping things on the screen in order to color the notes whose button press you need to time appropriately.

For me, so far, it's a rather confusing mess. I've made it to level/stage/song 8 before losing and I'm playing on "normal" (mid-difficulty). I guess I'll have to keep practicing until something "clicks" OR until I have enough currency to unlock some items that supposedly help make the game a bit easier. I'm not quite sure yet...
