So I'm back to playing Diablo - again in co-op with my son who, to be honest, was a lot more excited about this than I was. On the other hand, this time we're playing in English and for some unknown reason, the story and game make a lot more sense to me now. I'm going to argue that it has to do to our going through it a second time?

In addition to the new act, which I think we're halfway through at this point, I'm kind of surprised by how much they've streamlined the game and its experience. Here are a few things that really make the game work better (as we play in co-op):

a. My son started a new character from scratch and all his abilities are automatically boosted AND he levels up crazy fast.

b. I think that loot drops are now assigned to each player - before it was a big pile and whoever got the stuff, well, got the stuff. I'm not sure if this is because we're off-balanced level-wise or if it's really a new feature. If it's a new feature I really enjoy it because in the past my co-op partner would snarf all the loot up (and I'd get crumbs and hand-me-downs). It feels more fair this way...

I'm also just really appreciative of the fact that we could export our characters/save game from PS3.
