I played about 20 missions and the % indicator had hardly moved. That seemed odd. I then noticed that each mission has a some outlined icons in the picture on the right and that for each I had played 1/3 of the second icon (out of five?) was filled out. So I decided to experiment by playing an early mission with each of the other character roles you can choose from. This was a great idea because, I have since learned, the other characters are also kind of fun to play. Not THAT much fun, but a little bit. And lo - the icon was now fully complete. I've been playing on the 2nd difficulty tier (not the easiest, but the one up) and it was the 2nd icon that filled out. I'd have to play everything on super easy to get all the icons? I had tried the middle difficulty and had failed dramatically so...all of a sudden I realized that this wasn't something I was particularly interested in doing. It seemed like too much of a slog.

So, I've moved on to the next game!

I've played 12 missions or so and, according the the saved game statistics, I'm 1.4% complete or something like that. OMG, that is SO LOW! This makes me a bit sad because, contrary to the console versions I've played, this version doesn't seem to represent a step forward as far as I can tell. If anything, it's a step backwards which is quite a shame. It seems to me that there are more clipping, more issues with collisions, and more pop-in. At least you can still easily destroy buildings. That's still fun.

Maybe it's all my fault because I had so much with with the co-op aspects with the other games?
