Argh! I've started to hit the wall of difficulty... it makes me really sad because I love the musical levels SO much and there are (AFAIK) two more for me to see. I'm also finding it hard to make progress in the game because I get distracted doing the daily challenges. It's a sign of great game design, I guess.

Huh. For some reason I thought that Legends was a typical sequel to Origins. Basically the same game design, but new levels and such. I also thought that the Vita version was a straight port. I no longer think that's the case - particularly because there's been a few levels so far that have well-integrated touch controls (as well as a few that make use of the gyroscope - you need to rotate your Vita). And, also, wow - there is SO much stuff here I'm quite amazed. There are weekly and daily challenge levels you can play and you can also unlock "classic" levels. I think these are Rayman Origins levels? Oh, there's also a bunch of other unlockables like monster pets and things like that. So, wow, I'm really impressed by how much there is to do and enjoy in this "little" Vita game I picked up.

As for the gameplay? Well, I've played Origins on the PS3 and this version quite similar. I've been trying to think how to best describe the platforming and delightful is the closest thing I can think of. I'm almost done with the first (and easiest) world so I'm sure I'll hit a wall of difficulty at some point. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy the ride.

kudos for original design to Rodrigo Barria
