The experience has been mostly underwhelming (I'm glad I didn't get the special edition PS4 and went with Destiny instead). I feel like I've given the game a fair shake, tried out all the modes, but still...underwhelming. I kind of want to blame the lack of class roles in the game (everyone just have different loadouts, but no difference in abilities) that don't really encourage good teamwork. Loading times, when trying to join a match, were also a huge frustration for me...

That being said, the VR mission they added (for free, yay!) was something that I really enjoyed. It was directed, short, but fun. I'm mostly glad for that because the taste of the overall experience has been so drab that I feel guilty about not being all that excited for the game..

I've played a few hours and it's mostly been "recon". In other words, I'm still learning what the different things in the game do, which weapons I enjoy using and so on. That's useful only because the game has a levelling system and it seems like a lot of stuff is locked away behind level caps.

The game feels rather non-Star Wars in that it's all pretty chaotic and seemingly random - the modes I've played have mostly consisted of running around shooting, trying not to die, and capturing points. So, not "epic" but chaotic.. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, it just doesn't feel like Star Wars should? (to be fair, I'm not sure what that would mean in a big pvp shooter in any case...)

kudos for original design to Rodrigo Barria
