I never knew wiffle ball was a real thing. By that, I mean that people considered a sport and played it competitively. I just assumed the wiffle ball - a hollow plastic ball with holes cut out - was sort of a safe kids toy to mess around with.

I'll admit that I'm not too appreciative of the game (especially having just played an MLB game). But, I think part of it might be me - the thing I struggled with most in the MLB game was the same here - I have a hard time knowing when to swing the bat at the ball (wiffle or otherwise) - I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at, and the lack of depth perception doesn't make it any easier for me.

The game itself is a simplified version of baseball. You swing, hit, and if it isn't caught you're assigned a "base" based on how far the wiffle went - single, double, etc. You basically score points if you have good hits. While I was able to hit it a few times - I got a lot of foul balls and weak hits. No idea what I was doing wrong.

Pitching was similar - you have a power meter (you can manually adjust), you position a cursor inside the strike box, and then you can choose different kinds of pitches. I'm not sure what determines a ball/strike from the end of what you do as a player - and I did marginally better here.

Oh, the theme and setting just kids playing in the backyard, which was nice - but I'm still underwhelmed by the entire experience.
