So, I played a bit more - ALMOS won a race, but I've learned that there's a combination of reflexes and memory that's necesarry to success. I'm not particularly interested in that so I took a look at the game's manual to see if there's anything interesting I might be missing out on. If the manual is accurate to the rest of the game's features (at least insofar as track elements are) - then, I've already seen everything the game has. Of course different tracks (there are 30?) will have new layouts and such, but it seems that there aren't more things to look at.

So, back on the shelf it foes.

All I know so far is that this is a racing game - you're a marble racing another marble on a Sonic-like track (loops, jumps, speed boosts, breaks). As far as I can tell you can only jump or boost - this depletes a turbo bar that refills when you roll past these electric circle doohickies.

I'm clearly doing something wrong because I've been unable to win a race yet - and I'm playing in the novice category. I think it's partly an issue of knowing the racetrack - because there's a lot of quick reflexes required and the AI is no pushover. We'll see how this goes, I'm not sure I'm in the mood for playing a bunch of races to practice on a track only to win and unlock more tracks...

Weirdly there are two "marbles" (are these Dagedar?) available to choose from and, according to the stats provided one is just straight up better than the other. Same speed and acceleration but the 2nd one has better handling. There are also apparently many, many more marbles to unlock....
